Cherry Bomb Lacrosse 2015 Important Tournament Information • Our web address is www.cherrybomblacrosse.com • Team Check In 60-90 minutes before your first game. o Check In at the location of your first game. All Friday games are at TBAYS and all teams must be checked in at that location before your first Friday game. Only the Team Manager and/or Coach need to check the team in. Individual check in is not required. o Have all your team’s signed waivers to turn in at check-in in one package. Team managers and coaches: it is your responsibility to account for all the waivers for your team. o If your team has not checked in, you will not be allowed on the field; your game will be in forfeit. o Roster checks will be done at the fields; any player not providing a signed waiver will be removed from the event. Any roster improprieties will result in sanctions. • • Scores and Brackets are posted on our Website www.cherrybomblacrosse.com o We use Tourney Machine, the best, easiest way to track your team and schedule. o Click on “NOTIFICATIONS” and enter your phone and/or email address for updates o Click on “DOWNLOAD APP” to have the tournament schedule always available on your phone o Click on “PLACES” for maps and directions to the fields o Click on “DOCUMENTS” for Field Maps, Rules, etc o You can choose to get updates for your team only, your division, or the entire event! o You can check the website for periodic updates of scores and seeds. o We will have the latest scores posted every few hours throughout the event. There will be a drop off area near headquarters o You may drop off players, tents, coolers and then park your vehicle. Absolutely no standing, parking or dawdling in the drop-off area. • Parking and Traffic Warning o The event is very full. Please expect that parking and traffic will be difficult. We have ample parking but not everybody will get a spot in the first three rows closest to your son’s field. Your patience and cooperation will be appreciated. The Sheriff will be present to manage traffic flow into and out of TBAYs park. Even with the authorities, there will be long lines to enter and exit. o There will be a tow truck on site for violators. Owners of towed vehicles are responsible for all towing and storage fees. If you are towed, contact Brickyard Towing at (231) 932-1221. o Do not park on Keystone Road. o Do not park along the interior roadway of the park on the grass toward the fields. The park wants to keep all vehicles off the grass in these areas. You will be towed if you park there. No exceptions. o • Please be courteous to the parking attendants. We are just trying to fit everybody in as best we can. At The Tournament o A limited supply of official Cherry Bomb shorts, t-shirts, and “hoodies” will be offered. o Warrior Lacrosse will have the Rabil Challenge at Cherry Bomb and many other fun activities. o On site you will have light breakfast items, sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, “slushies” at reasonable prices. o Full service retail stores and other lacrosse-related vendors will be present. o Water will be available for players at the benches. Cups will not be provided. o Pets are not allowed at the tournament. o Barbeque grills are not allowed at the tournament. o Smoking is not allowed on the premises o We kindly ask that coaches and managers remind their players to use the trash receptacles and clean up their sidelines before departing each game. o We will be happy to provide trash bags for “team tents” so that your group can leave the area free of trash. o Camping is not allowed at the event…limited space for RV’s and motor homes is available, however we ask that large vehicles not park in the paved lots with lined spaces for passenger cars. • Locations o Cherry Bomb is held at two separate locations. Most high school games will be played at West Junior High School and all youth games will be held at TBAYs Keystone Road complex. TBAYS Soccer Complex, is at 712 N. Keystone Rd. Traverse City, MI 49696 and West Junior High School is at 3950 Silver Lake Rd. Traverse City, MI 49684. A map and directions are also on our website. • Tournament Format o The Cherry Bomb features a four-game qualifying round in which points are granted for wins and ties. The point system is used to “seed” teams for the playoffs. Every team makes the playoffs which follow a single elimination bracket. Teams must continue to win in order to advance. Please refer to the rules of play on our website. o You will have to refer to the Playoff Bracket for your division to understand when and where your game will be held on Sunday. The Playoff Brackets are posted online.
