DAY 1 – MONDAY
JOHANNESBURG - MPUMALANGA
Depart Johannesburg and travel to Mpumalanga Province, known as “Paradise Country”. We’ll drive along the spectacular
“Panorama Route”, offering views of amazing scenery including the 26 kilometre-long Blyde River Canyon and historic God’s
Window, a breathtaking view (weather permitting) of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park. Continue
to an area near Hazyview for your overnight stay.
DAY 2 – TUESDAY
MPUMALANGA
Enjoy an early morning game drive (in your closed touring vehicle) in the Kruger National Park with a packed breakfast. Kruger
is one of the world’s greatest national parks, home to a stunning array of wildlife. Search for the ‘Big Five’ (rhino, buffalo, lion,
leopard, and elephant) as well as prolific birdlife and numerous other game. The afternoon is at leisure at your hotel. Late
afternoon open vehicle safaris are available (optional & for own account). [Breakfast]
DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY
MPUMALANGA
The day begins with early morning coffee or tea, followed by a thrilling open vehicle safari (with English speaking game ranger)
through Kruger National Park with pre-packed breakfast. The park offers some of the best game viewing and wildlife
opportunities in the world – and the visitor will soon appreciate the challenges of managing this unique reserve. The afternoon
is at leisure at your hotel or you can join us on our Community visit to the Sizabantwana Children Care Centre for a tour and a
brief look into the lives of the children that attend the centre. This visit offers you the opportunity to understand more about
the rural communities and their lifestyles and to interact with them in a secure and optimistic environment. Return to your
hotel where open vehicle safaris are available (optional and for own account). [Breakfast]
DAY 4 – THURSDAY
MPUMALANGA - SWAZILAND
This morning we travel to Swaziland, an independent Kingdom within the borders of South Africa, known for its lovely scenery,
crafts and colourful indigenous culture. Visit the Ngwenya glass factory, where visitors can watch talented glass blowers create
a range of enchanting African animals, birds and fish, as well as tableware, made from 100% recycled glass that is collected by
the children of Swaziland. In the afternoon the opportunity exists for a complimentary (optional) excursion to a Swazi candle
factory, where visitors can watch Swazi wax artists make beautiful candles. Overnight in Swaziland. [Breakfast]
DAY 5 – FRIDAY
SWAZILAND - ZULULAND
After breakfast you will continue south through Swaziland, before re-entering South Africa. Travel to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi
Game Reserve, which contains an immense diversity of fauna and flora and is particularly famous for its conservation of black
and white rhino. Enjoy an afternoon open vehicle game drive (with English speaking guide) before continuing to your hotel in
the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region.

DAY 6 – SATURDAY
ZULULAND – DURBAN (UMHLANGA)
After breakfast, travel to a traditional Zulu village to experience the local culture, dancing and a delicious ethnic lunch. The
journey continues to Durban (Umhlanga), passing traditional Zulu Kraals, Eucalyptus plantations and sugar cane fields.

DAY 7 – SUNDAY
DURBAN (UMHLANGA) - PORT ELIZABETH
After breakfast, transfer to Durban (Umhlanga) airport for the short southward flight to Port Elizabeth, where you will be met
by your representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore. Port Elizabeth,
known as the “friendly city”, has a wonderful climate and offers plenty to see and do.

DAY 8 – MONDAY
PORT ELIZABETH - KNYSNA
Head westwards along the Garden Route, which follows the Indian Ocean coastline and is bordered inland by soaring
mountain ranges and indigenous forests. Visit the spectacularly beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth
(weather permitting). You’ll arrive at your hotel in Knysna, known as the oyster box of South Africa, nestling on the banks of a
beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore the town.

DAY 9 – TUESDAY
KNYSNA
After a leisurely breakfast you’ll enjoy a lagoon cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, where you can take a trailer ride to
the top of the Western Head to enjoy panoramic views of the town and lagoon, returning for lunch under the milkwood trees.
The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this charming town set around a natural harbour lagoon. [Breakfast & Lunch]
DAY 10 – WEDNESDAY
KNYSNA - OUDTSHOORN
Travel through the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn, known as the “ostrich capital” and the centre of the world’s Ostrich
farming industry. You’ll visit an Ostrich Farm for a guided tour, before taking a tour of the spectacular limestone caverns of the
Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. Travel to your hotel in the late
afternoon, in time to check in and relax before dinner (for own account).
Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [Breakfast]
DAY 11 – THURSDAY
OUDTSHOORN - STELLENBOSCH
Enjoy an early morning Meerkat Safari. Witness these incredible wild habituated creatures emerging out of their burrows, in
time to soak up the sun before they head about their daily activities (weather permitting). After this thrilling experience, head
back for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, the journey continues through the ‘Little Karoo’ to Barrydale, where you will
have the opportunity to visit a local farm school, interact with the children and teachers, spending time with them in the
classroom learning more about the local farming community, before travelling to Montagu, a picturesque and historic spa
town. (The school visit is subject to school being opened). Continue to Stellenbosch, the second oldest city in South Africa,
surrounded by some of the most spectacular mountains with vineyards as a backdrop. Overnight in Stellenbosch [Breakfast]
DAY 12 – FRIDAY
STELLENBOSCH – CAPE TOWN
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a wine tasting in the Stellenbosch area, arguably the country’s most famous wine route. Then
finally onto Cape Town, the oldest city in South Africa, spectacularly set at the foot of Table Mountain. Between beautiful Cape
Dutch homesteads, traditional dancers with painted faces performing in the streets, the smell of spicy Malay cooking and the
taste of a well-made wine, this city will fill your senses. The tour ends on arrival in Cape Town. [Breakfast]
PRIVATE GAME RESERVE OPTION
If you’ve always dreamed of experiencing the luxury of staying in one of Africa’s legendary game lodges, then this option is
for you. You will have the opportunity to maximise your experience of wildlife in the region, thereafter rejoining the tour
with minimum disruption.
DAY 2 – TUESDAY
MPUMALANGA - SABI SAND CONSERVANCY
After breakfast travel through the Kruger National Park, with game viewing en route. At Skukuza Airport you will be met by the
Sabi game rangers and transferred to Sabi Sabi Game Reserve for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax until
your late afternoon open vehicle game drive. This area offers a great bio-diversity of habitat and wildlife, giving an excellent
chance of experiencing close encounters with the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion.
Overnight on a full board basis
DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY
SABI SAND CONSERVANCY - MPUMALANGA
Start your day with an early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, transfer to Skukuza
Airport, where you will be met by your tour guide and on your return, enjoy a game drive through the Kruger National Park,
before rejoining the main tour.

conditions are accepted by the passenger.

DEFINITION
Springbok Atlas means:

Passenger means:
Individuals, groups, companies or other legal persons using the services offered by Springbok Atlas
and includes the agents of passengers.
Services means:
The provision of accommodations and/or transportation and/or meals as offered by Springbok Atlas
and accepted by the Passenger.
TERMS OF PAYMENT

On confirmation of services - a deposit of 25 % of the quoted tour price is required (N.B. : For tours that include Blue Train
and/or Private Game Reserves and Lodges, a different schedule of deposits, payments and cancellation fees apply. This will
be provided when applicable.)
45 days before commencement of services - full payment plus rooming list is required.

If payments are made in negotiable foreign currency, the payer will be responsible for any short payment resulting from
exchange rate fluctuations. The exchange rate applied by the official bankers of Springbok Atlas on receipt of moneys will be
accepted as the applicable rate.
3.4
If the required deposit or final payment is not received by due date, Springbok Atlas reserves the right to withdraw services.
4
CANCELLATIONS
4.1
General Conditions
4.1.1
Cancellations made more than 45 days prior to arrival will not normally result in cancellation fees being charged.
However;
4.1.2
Springbok Atlas reserves the right to recover any costs incurred or charges received from suppliers up to the
date of cancellation.
4.1.3
In the event of services being cancelled 45 days or less, prior to arrival, the following cancellation fees will apply.



45 days to 36 days before commencement of services: 25% total quoted tour price due.

We recommend that you ensure that your passengers take adequate personal cancellation insurance cover
before departure from home.
4.2
Special Conditions
For tours that include services of certain suppliers with more stringent policies, e.g., National Parks Board, Blue Train,
Private Lodges and others, different cancellation fees will be enforceable. These will be provided when applicable.

AIRLINES
Cancellations and refunds
In the event of cancellation or failure, for any reason whatsoever, to use confirmed space, as ticketed, 25% (twenty five percent) of
the applicable airfare will be forfeited. A change of reservation constitutes a cancellation. Extension of ticket validity is no
permitted, save when a passenger is hospitalised due to illness or in the event of death of a member of the passenger’s immediate
family.
Responsibilities and booking conditions
All airfare reservations are arranged subject to the conditions imposed by the respective airline.

LUGGAGE
One suitcase and one overnight bag per person is allowed. Springbok Atlas accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to luggage
or personal property from whatsoever cause arising. Passengers are advised to take up adequate insurance cover.

DELAYS
Springbok Atlas shall not be responsible for the consequences of any delays whether arising from accidents, breakdowns, or any
other cause.

RESPONSIBILITY
Springbok Atlas carries comprehensive passenger liability insurance details of which will be made available on request. Springbok
Atlas is not responsible for any damages sustained by any passenger as a result of any act or omission whatsoever of any hotel,
airline or other person, notwithstanding the fact the Springbok Atlas acted as agent of such hotel, airline or other person.

LAW
The law of the Republic of South Africa shall govern the relationship between Springbok Atlas and the passenger and the Courts of
the Republic of South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction in respect of any claims and/or disputes which may arise between Springbok
Atlas and the passenger, or Agent.
