5th 2017 at 7.30 pm

Notes on the Agenda - Item 4 Elections
Trust Rules state that the Board requires a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 members. There
are currently 2 elected members and 3 co-opted members.
The Rules also state that Board members must resign after serving 3 years and accordingly
Martyn Jones and John Lacy will resign. Both are offering themselves for re-election.
All 3 currently co-opted members are also seeking election to the Board: They are: Sarah Stelling,
Richard Bower and Bill Owen. This leaves 5 further places on the Board to be filled by nominated
members.
Eligibility to Vote
All official General Meetings of The York City Supporters Trust are open to fully paid up members
only. The following statement defines YCST membership with voting rights:
1) YCST Life Members.
2) YCST Annual Members who have made an annual subscription payment covering the current
season (July 2016- June 2017) or those who have paid fees until the end of next season (201718)

3) "Lapsed" YCST Annual Members who make an annual subscription payment between now and
the time of any A.G.M. or S.G.M. voting.
4) New YCST Members who complete a membership application and who also make an annual
subscription payment between now and the time of any AGM or SGM voting.
NOTE: Please present your membership card when entering the meeting as proof of your right to
attend and vote. If you have lost your card, please bring an alternative proof of identity. We will be
able to verify your details on our membership list. Where membership has lapsed or if you wish to
join the Trust you will be required to complete a membership application and pay the appropriate
fee (£100, Life or £10, Annual) prior to entry.
Proxy Voting
If you are unable to attend the meeting you can vote by completing and returning a proxy form by
Monday, May 29th 2017. Forms will be available to download from our website.
Nomination for Election
Candidates must obtain and complete an official nomination form signed by two nominators, each
of whom must be a current Trust member.
Nominator’s Details The form must be completed by two Trust Members who may nominate as
many candidates as they wish. A signed letter of nomination from a member, or email from the
address a member has given the Secretary for receiving Society communications, are acceptable
substitutes for a signature on the candidate’s nomination form.
Candidates must also submit an election statement of not more than 200 words to be included
with their nomination form.
