THE RAME GROUP PRACTICE –ONLINE SERVICE
We offer the facility to book GP appointments and order your repeat medication on-line. By registering your
personal unique e-mail address at the surgery you will be sent an e-mail which allows you to link into The
Waiting –Room.Net. Once registered you will be able to access GP appointments and your repeat
medication (if you take any). By giving us your personal unique e-mail address, it also gives us the option to
transfer your prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy when the next stage of this process becomes
available.

How do I sign up for the waiting-room.net?
You will need to attend the surgery to sign a consent form and you will be asked to provide photographic
proof of identity. This will need to be done in person at the surgery. This consent form will then be scanned
onto your records.
Once the surgery has registered your e-mail address you will be sent an e-mail with the user name and
password from www.thewaiting-room.net (Please ensure you enter this address into your address
book as a safe sender. So that it does not get treated as spam

What happens if I forget my password?
Once you have registered, you will be able to change your password to something that you can easily
remember. We do not keep any passwords or other user names at the surgery and have no access to your
account. Please read the information for retrieving passwords on the site. You can still order your
medication direct through your surgery.

Does this link into my medication at the surgery and is it secure?
Yes-the Waiting-Room.Net is a secure site set up by the same company that supplies software to the
surgery. It is able to link directly with your medication details. When you order your medication it sends a
message to the surgery stating what medication is required and any special requirements for collection.

Can I collect my prescriptions from Penntorr Health, Cawsand Surgery or the pharmacy?
Yes – should you wish to alter your chosen collection point please do so in the comments box.

How long do I have to wait before I can collect my prescription?
Your prescription will be ready to collect in 4 working days from the nominated surgery or pharmacy. If you
need it more urgently then you will need to order your medication direct with the surgery.

Can I order “any” medication?
No- you are only able to order medication that your GP has authorised to be ordered on-line. Requests for
acute prescriptions may take longer than repeat medications and is subject to GP approval.

Can multiple family members use the same e-mail address?
No- only one e-mail address per patient can be registered for confidentiality purposes including
children. The unique e-mail address links directly to your medical records.

Can I access my account with the Waiting Room through the practice website
Yes- there is a special icon on the website which links you into the waiting room. You will need to enter
your unique log-in details to proceed to the appointments or medication page.

Can my permission to use this facility be removed?
Yes- the surgery can prevent access if it is felt that the service is being abused.

What if my medication is not visible on the site?
There could be several explanations. Repeat medication only becomes visible to order 2 weeks before it is
due. If you are unable to find the medication you require, please place your request in the comment box.
