Brussels, July 7, 2016 - BPRCA, the Association of Communication Consultants in Belgium
(www.bprca.be), appointed at its yearly General Assembly a new Board.
The BPRCA represents 25 leading PR agency members and is the official Belgian
representation for the worldwide ICCO PR association (www.icco-pr.com). Disciplinces
include corporate, marketing, internal & crisis communication.
BPRCA events include a yearly PR Summit – with a second
edition slated for 22 November 2016 in Brussels – and a
two-yearly IBIS Communication Awards with 3C. The
association organises networking events, benchmarking and
studies for its members, as well as the training programme
PR Academy.
BPRCA President Emmanuel Goedseels, Partner at Whyte
Corporate Affairs, remains in this position for a new
term, and is pleased to continue the cooperation with
board members Bruno Leyssens, Partner at RCA Group
and Laurent-Paul Van Steirtegem, Partner at Interel.
Annick Boyen, Managing Director of Weber-Shandwick
Benelux, is welcomed as new board member. She
participated in last year’s PR Summit taskforce. Daniel De
Marto continues as Director.
The Board thanks Anja D’Hondt, previously Managing Director/Owner of duomedia for seven
years of board membership. She is pleased to continue in an advisory capacity to support
the PR Summit and PR Academy. Also Jean-Léopold Schuybroeck continues as Senior
Advisor, liaising with ICCO where he holds since years a Board position.
Emmanuel Goedseels, President of BPRCA, comments: “The association has broadened its
perspective the past years by closer cooperating with 3C in Belgium, with ICCO and
organisations in neighbouring countries. The educational side of BPRCA has been extended
with the Summit and PR Academy, deploying new PR trends and technologies. Our aim is to
further build and strengthen our PR & communication community, with closer alignment
between companies and agencies, as well as the academic world.”
“We see a great need for strategy and planning from companies to tackle crisis situations,
develop powerful content and drive conversations across multiple channels. PR experts have
developed the perfect skillset to cover all these areas, spicing it up with a more creative,
social and visual approach. We are therefore very optimistic about the future of PR and
communication, there are great opportunities ahead and we intend to take them.”
The President and Board look forward to a successful new term, and thank all members for
their ongoing support and cooperation.
