Rules for the Charity Auction
In-Kind Donations
In-kind donations have to be registered online via the application form. We will check your donation and
give you a response via e-mail if your donation is accepted.
If your donation is accepted, you can either mail it to us or hand it in at the convention on the 30th of July
(Saturday) until 01:00 PM.
All items that are not sold will become property of Bronies e.V. and will be used at next year´s charity
auction or for other charitable purposes. If you want your item back instead, you will have to pay the
shipping costs. For logistic reasons, it is not possible to pick an item up directly after the convention has
ended.
Each item can be sold in the silent auction, small auction on Saturday or the main Charity Auction on
Sunday. The decision is based on factors like the estimated value and selling price.
Silent Auction
You can bid on a selection of items at the Silent Auction. Bids are only accepted in full € steps. If an item
is neither sold in the small auction nor the main Charity Auction, the bidder who placed the highest bid in
the silent auction has the chance to buy the item.
Items that are sold in the silent auction are announced on the 31st of July (Sunday) at about 01:00 PM.
The bidders have the chance to pick their items up until 05:00 PM for logistical reasons. All other items
count as unsold.
If you want to participate, you have to get a bidder card at the Bronies for Good booth or the reception
desk. When you place a bid, you only have to fill in the number of your bidder card for identification. For
further information, see the extra instruction.
Small Auction and Charity Auction
Both auctions are moderated. You can place bids by raising your hand. The moderator calls up all bidders
and asks them for their bid.
If you win the bid, you can pick up the item and pay in cash directly. Later payment or payment via EC or
credit card are not possible.
Please do not disturb the auction by any means, especially by disturbing shouts that lead to a
delay of the auction process. We can remove single persons or groups from the event in case of
violations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask at [email protected].

Instructions for the Silent Auction
Bidder Card and Bidder Number
To participate in the silent auction, you have to get a bidder card at the Bronies for Good booth or the
reception desk. You have to register by giving your full name, nickname and address.
The card contains a unique number, your bidder number. This number is used for placing bids at the silent
auction anonymously.
Placing Bids
Each item has a unique item number. You find it either on a sign next to the item or in the catalogues that
are put on display next to the item gallery. You will also find bidding lists; each of them bears the number
of the item it belongs to.
If you want to place a bid on an item, look for the bidding list with the right item number. Fill in your
bidder number as said on your card and the bid in a full € amount.
It will be possible to place bids until 11:00 AM on Sunday, July 31st. During the Gala Evening, the item
gallery will be closed.
Purchasing Items
On Sunday, July 31st, the items and bidding lists will be removed from the item gallery. We will evaluate
the results and decide which items will be presented in the main Charity Auction and which of them will
be sold in the silent auction.
Between 01:00 PM And 02:00 PM on Sunday, July 31st, we will present a list of items that will be sold in
the silent auction naming the highest bid and the bidder number of the participant who won the bid.
The bidders who won can purchase the item at the location announced on the item list (likely the
reception desk or a special booth next to the item gallery).
Items can be purchased in cash, payments via EC or credit card cannot be accepted.
The booth will close at 05:00 PM for logistical reasons.
If you don´t want to buy the item, you don´t have to. The bids are not binding in the silent auction. Please
be so kind and hand your bidder card in anyways – we will then give the following bidder the chance to
purchase the item.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask at [email protected].
