KICKING IT OFF: If money and time was no object, what would you be doing right now? Where in the World have you been that you thought was paradise? MEMORY VERSE: I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14 (NASB) GROUP DISCUSSION: LIFE Group Video Question – Visit www.crossroadschurch.com/ministries under the LIFE Group Resources Tab to access the Video and Video Group Question. GOING DEEPER: 1. What skill or ability have others said about you or that you discovered yourself that you excelled in? 2. What is the difference between a Spiritual Gift and a Natural Talent? Read 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, Ephesians 4:11-14 3. Everyone has a unique heart or passion that sparks your interest: What answer would you put in the blanks that you would be so excited about that you couldn’t sleep? Tomorrow I am going to go (_____________). Or tomorrow I get to go help (___________). Read Psalm 37:4, Rev. 17:17, 1 Samuel 12:20 4. What abilities do you have that differ from one of your Siblings, your Spouse or a close friend? How do these different abilities complement one another? How can your ability be used by God? 5. We each have a unique personality. Would you describe yourself as an Extrovert or Introvert? Cooperative or Competitive? Do you like Routine tasks or a Variety of tasks? The list can go on. Talk about how these different personalities work together within the ministries of the Church. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-18 6. What experiences are unique to you (such as Spiritual, Painful, Educational, Work or Ministry related) that would equip you to reach/care for/relate to or minister to someone else? Read 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Rom. 8:28. Love Like Jesus Loves If it is more loving to give than receive to whom do you show this kind of Love to? Why not show this kind of love to others? What about your enemies? Read Luke 6:27-36 Intentional Intimacy In your time with God has He ever revealed to you what he wants you to do with your spiritual gift? If yes, share with the group how you responded. Fully Surrendered If one of the best ways to discover your gift(s) is to start serving, have you started? If not, what is stopping you? Experience More In reference to question #6 above how are you using your “Experiences” in your current ministry? What ministries at Crossroads could benefit from your “Experiences”?
