Lubricate every 3 Months, or 100 Hours

ALL HC MODELS
Hedge Clipper gear housing should be lubricated every 25 hours of operation.
Parts Required: ECHO LUBE 14oz. (P/N 91015) OR Lithium Base Grease, Grease Gun, Clean Rag

1.
Clean debris and dirt from gearbox area. Remove the six socket head cap screws retaining the
Gearbox cover plate.
2.
Remove cover plate and discard gasket.
3.
Add grease as required, do not over fill. Leave room for the grease to expand during operation.
HC-1500 Type 2E, HC-2400, HC-2410, HC-230/231, (All C.A.R.B.)
Gear Housing
1.
Clean dirt from grease fitting (A).
2.
Carefully pump grease into fitting (A). DO NOT force grease. Too
much pressure will force grease past seals and cause damage. Apply
1-2 pumps pf grease every 15-25 hours of operation.
3.
Wipe excess grease from around grease fitting.

Gear Housing
Tools Required: 8 x 10 mm Open end wrench, clean rag
1.
Clean dirt from filler plug area and remove plug.
2.
Carefully add 1 or 2 oz. Of grease into hole. DO NOT force grease.
Too much pressure will force grease past seals and cause damage.
Recheck grease level, and add as required.
3.
Wipe excess grease from around filler plug area, and replace the
filler plug. Tighten plug securely.
