Robotics
•
Multi-agent system based multi-robot system
technology enabling the widely available stand alone
robots to cooperatively accomplish large tasks
•
Highly mobile robotic platforms for rough terrains
with multiple independently moving joints ensuring high
performance under situation without visual contact

Usage of Multi-agent Paradigm in
Service Multi-robot Systems
• Lack of reliable frameworks of systems development
and maintenance (especially software)
• Idea: a multi-agent paradigm as a core technique for
developing multi-robot system management software
• The main role of agents at the management level is to
represent robotic systems (physical agents)
– Increased effectiveness of multi robot system management
through modelling of future operation scenarios
– More efficient and of higher level interaction among
heterogeneous physical robots
– Higher usability from end-user view point
• Application: service robotics domain including domestic,
agriculture and public security services
