GENEVA FEEDER GYM SET UP AND BREAKDOWN PROCEDURE FOR GAMES AND PRACTICES
PRACTICES:

1st Team(s) scheduled for that night must pick up keys. Both Coaches please communicate who will get them
Each Team MUST fill out a Gym Checklist Form if applicable before and after each practice
Last Team in each Gym MUST leave the Gym in the way it is noted on the Gym Checklist Form
All hallways and Bathrooms need to be checked as well
ALL doors checked to be sure they’re locked
Last teams in gyms MUST return keys to proper appropriate key storage location

GAMES:
Gym Set up if you’re the first game(s) on Saturday or Sunday

1st Team(s) scheduled for that day must pick up key and scoreboard control bins for BOTH gyms. Both Coaches
please communicate who will get them
Doors do not open until a 1/2 hour before the first scheduled game, communicate this to opposing team
Lights turned on
Bleachers Pulled out with hand rails turned
Scoreboards turned on
Scorers table set up with control box plugged in
Hall Monitor table and chair placed in Foyer
Gym Break Down If you’re the last game on Saturday Night

Scoreboard control boxes turned off
Scoreboards switched off
Lights switched off
Return Keys to appropriate key storage location
You CAN leave bleachers out and scoreboard control boxes set up overnight
Gym Break Down If you’re the last game on Sunday Night

Bleachers walked and cleaned up- have your players do this
Bleachers pushed in and hand rails turned
Scoreboards switched off
Scoreboard control boxes, cord, and bleacher control put in appropriate bin
ALL garbage and bottles picked up
Bathrooms checked and picked up
Lights switched off
ALL doors checked to be sure they’re locked
Return Keys and Scoreboard Control Bins from BOTH Gyms w/ Bleacher control
Between you and your Assistant Coaches, and players it doesn’t take long to do these things. We need to
make sure we keep these facilities maintained. When Teachers come in on Monday and the Gyms are not put
away properly they’re not happy that they have to do it and in turn they complain and then we get
reprimanded. This is preventable by following the above guidelines. If we want to continue to have access to
these facilities in the future, we have to do a better job. I know they may seem trivial but obviously they
aren’t if the District has to contact us. If you’re not sure how to do any of these things, please contact Keith
