Class Description:
This is a practical based class used to evaluate how EMS crews treat a
cardiac arrest patient on scene and during transport to the hospital. Each
patient scenario will begin with an unstable patient, progress to cardiac
arrest, and then result in ROSC. The treatment modalities will be measured
against Lake EMS Protocol and rated by the actual time required to
perform assessments and said treatments.
Prerequisites:
Current field responders who operate under the Lake EMS protocol and the
Lake County Medical Director
BLS Health Care Provider (CPR) or equivalent
ACLS or Equivalent for the Paramedics
