What is It?
• D2.3: Status of certification, integration and validation
testbed setup (prototype)
• Me: “I'm not sure exactly what's expected for this talk.”
• Alberto: "I want each WP leader to present
their interpretation of what the deliverable
should contain, to expose any problem they
may have and propose a plan to have the
deliverable ready for internal review by the
first week of December. We have to send the
final version of the deliverables to the
European Commission by January 15th. I want
to make sure we have no last minute
surprises."

What the Deliverable Should Contain
• If I were in Brussels, and wanted to know if I should give ETICS a
million Euros funding for project year two, what would I want to
know?
• Two types of information: quantitative and subjective.
– Number of sites, machines, users, jobs
– User testimonials [WP1?]
– Demos (e.g., parallel system tests of gLite) [WP5?]
– Uptime
– Utilization
– Ease of deployment & config
– Hardware requirements
– How to quantify difficulty/degree of automation?
– time it takes one person to perform a install?
– Bugs (# submitted, resolved, etc.)
– Issues Experienced & Implications
– Talk about the hard problems -- why this isn’t trivial to accomplish
– Plans to address current issues
