Belleview Golf Club hosts a wide variety of tournaments each year. We host many group
outings among friends, family and coworkers. We also host a wide range of fundraising golf
tournaments for local sport teams, schools, and charities.
Many groups enjoy golf tournaments because they revolve around an outdoor activity that allows
you to socialize as well as enjoy a little competition. Golf tournaments also prove to be a great
way to fundraise due to the fact that in a single day they can produce thousands of dollars
towards a known cause.
Example:
A Morning Shot Gun in June would cost $65 (HST and gratuities included) for 18 holes,
a cart and a steak dinner. If you charged $100 per player, then $35 of that ticket would
be going towards your known cause. So, if you filled your tournament to 144 golfers you
would make $5040. This does not include any extra money you will have made through
your putting green contest, PLINKO game, longest drive and closest to the pin
competitions.
So whether you are looking to have a group outing in 2017 or you are interested in raising money
for a particular group or charity, a golf tournament at Belleview Golf Club just might be the
thing to do!

Belleview gives discounted rates to all tournaments. Our weekday price is Monday to Friday
and our weekend price is for Saturday, Sunday and Holidays

NOTE: Tournament prices on weekends depend on time of year, size of tournament and time of
day. This is why it reads “as low as.” Please see below for one example of how to get this low
price for your weekend tournament.
Example:
1. As mentioned in the example on the first page, a Morning Shot Gun in the month of June
will cost $65 - $23 steak dinner = $42 (HST included) for 18 holes with a cart. But if this
same tournament chose to go in the Afternoon, it would now cost that tournament only
$33 (+ HST) = $37 for 18 holes with a cart.
This would be a savings of $5 per player and would add over $700 in revenue to go towards your
known cause. Tournaments that choose to take place during our spring/fall rates also get this
lower price regardless of time of day. So the choice is yours, but in either case, we at Belleview
are still confident that we offer the best “bang for your buck” pricing in the county, for both
morning and afternoon!

Come celebrate with us by taking advantage of our 50th Anniversary Special. Starting at 1pm
every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday two players can play 18 holes with cart for…

Now any group can take advantage of this special, but in order to get it, you must go straight tee
times starting at 1pm or later. This special is not available if you want to choose a different type
of format such as a shot gun or a cross over. Groups larger than 3 tee times can book up to 3
weeks in advance. Smaller groups are restricted to booking 1 week in advance.
PLEASE NOTE: These restrictions only apply to this special. All other tournaments can book
anytime of the year.

BEFORE YOU GO OR ON THE TURN
“BELLEVIEW HAS IT ALL!”
Belleview is open for breakfast before every tournament upon request. We also offer a
variety of “take it on the go” breakfast’s including our famous Breakfast Burrito or our
Fried Egg Sandwich.
On the turn, golfers can pre-order select items such as our cheese burger deluxe by
calling our order number from the 9th tee. We also serve a wide variety of other items
that don’t need to be pre-ordered such as Jumbo hot dogs, sandwiches, chips,
chocolate bars, beer, pop, and so much more! All these items are available at the
snack bar or can also be purchased from our beer cart out on the course with the
exclusion of hotdogs.
Beer and hotdog tickets are also available for any tournament that would like to have
the price of a hotdog and/or a beer already worked into the price. This allows the
golfers to get their food quicker and not have to deal with money!

SPECIAL GAMES FOR TOURNAMENTS
There are many games that tournaments can play among themselves for either a prize
or a 50/50 draw. The most common being closest to the pin, longest drive, PLINKO and
a putting green contest. If a certain game would like to be played in the tournament,
just let us know and we will set it up for you or have the appropriate materials available
the day of the tournament.
HOW TO GET STARTED





Sport teams and clubs have the most success putting on a golf tournament for
the first time due to the fact that there are 15-30 people putting on the
tournament as oppose to just one. If interested in putting a golf tournament
together, find the right people to help.
Once the appropriate helpers are found, select a suitable date for your outing as
well as an alternative date.
You should also determine what time of day you wish to tee off at as well as the
approximate number of golfers who will play.
Next, determine what food you would like to eat and whether or not you wish to
have beer and/or hotdog tickets worked into the price.
Once these questions are answered call Belleview to determine if the date and
time chosen is open.
Once a date is booked……




Determine what price you would like to charge for your event. Most fundraisers
at Belleview charge between $90 and $125 per player depending on the time of
year, the total cost of the event and how much money would like to be raised.
Once a price is determined then flyers and tickets need to be made to help
advertise the event and give out to participating players. (NOTE: Always collect
the money up front, this ensures that you won’t be held accountable for those
who did not show up.)
Most tournaments like to give trophies/prizes to the winners of the tournament as
well as door prizes for those who attended. Know that many businesses will
donate prizes for golf tournaments.
To generate even more revenue, you can also do tee sign advertising for local
businesses. Most tournaments will charge between $50 to $100 per sign.
Advice for Annual Events

If this tournament is going to be an annual event, don’t forget to create a contact
list by collecting phone numbers/email addresses from those who participated in
your tournament. This will help you grow your tournament year after year.
