Teamscan,atanytime,regeneratetheirsquadtotheallowablenumberofsixplayersonthecourtby makingabasketwithadodgeballinthehooplocatedontheopponent’ssideofthecourt.Theball mayhitanypartofthebasketballhoop,supports,orceilingandstillgothroughthebaskettocount. Anyball(thrownordeflected)thathitsanypartofthebasketorsupportand/orgoesthroughthe hoop,becomesdeadandcannotbecaughtforanoutorhitaplayerforanout.Airballshotsmaybe caughtforanout. B. Ateammaythrowaballatanattemptedregenerationshotinordertoblocktheshot.Theball throwninordertoblocktheshotdoesnotneedtobecaught. OVERTIME A. Ifanequalnumberofplayersremainafterregulationplay,asuddendeathovertimeperiodwillbe played. B. Thefirstteamtolegallyeliminateanyoneopponentwillbedeclaredthewinner. C. Theovertimeperiodwillbeginwitheachteamhavingthree“ballsinhand”behindtheirend-line. D. Notimeoutsareallowedduringovertime. DEADBALL A. TheBallwillberuleddeadanytimeit: o Hitsand/oriscaughtbyanotherparticipant. ! Intheeventthataballstrikesanopponent,butremainsairborne,onlytheplayer initiallyhitmayattempttocatchtheball. ! Ifaballisthrown,hitsanopponent’sball,andthencontactstheopponent’sperson, theopponentwillnotbedeclaredout. STALLINGAND5-SECONDVIOLATION A. Obviousstallingshallbecalledatthediscretionoftheofficial. B. Itisillegalfortheleadingteamtocontrolalltheballsformorethanfiveseconds.Ifallballsare locatedononesideofthecourt,theleadingteam(teamwithballs)mustmakealegitimateeffort(i.e. thrownorrollednotplaced)togetatleastoneballacrossthe10meterandintotheopponent’s backcourt.Ifthisisnotdonewithinfiveseconds,a“5-secondviolation”willbecalled. C. Penaltyfor5-secondviolation(s): o FirstViolation:Playwillbestoppedandtheballswillbedividedevenlyamongtheteams.Play willcontinuewith“ballsinhand.” o SecondViolation:Teamwithoutpossessionofallballswillbeawardedallballs.(i.e.balls changeteampossessions). o ThirdViolation:Ejectionofoneplayerfromtheoffendingteam. Note:Thestallingviolationsdonotapplytoovertime. SPORTSMANSHIPVIOLATION A. AYellow/Redcardsystemwillbeusedtocontrolunsportsmanlikeconductandimproperbehavior. B. Aplayerthatisejectedcannotbesubstitutedfor;theteammustplaydownaplayer.
