The Curse of Captain Eddie

War Hero
 Captain Eddie was in World War I.
 He died on October 5, 1918.
New York Giants
 The Giants won four world series in 1921, 1922, 1934,
and 1954.
 The monument was either stolen or lost after their
final game in 1957.
San Francisco Giants
 They didn’t win a world series for decades.
 In 2008 a replica was placed in the right field tower.
Reactions
 New York Giants fans weren’t happy that they moved
cities because they had 17 pennants and 5
championships.
 Some fans think that the San Francisco Giants
shouldn’t be related to the New York Giants.
