Ad In Tennis Player Pledge
The following document is the code of conduct expected from all our intermediate/advanced players. By
signing this document the player is expected to try their utmost best to adhere to this pledge.
I _________________________________________________ pledge,
To respect my parents, coaches and peers and be respected in turn
To put out 100% every time on court & in the classroom
To be on time and prepared properly for every class
To keep my feet moving at all times unless it’s water break
To observe good sportsmanship at all times during practice and matches
To focus on improving instead of winning as constant improvement makes one a true winner
To try and help my peers excel as having better people to work with can only help me improve
To treat every ball hit as an opportunity to learn and improve
To have fun every time I play tennis but never fool around
To report any issues I may have with one of my peers directly to the coaches and have them help us
resolve it
To accept and acknowledge that I am responsible for my development as a player and that all results are
based on the quality of work and preparation I have put in
To not make excuses when things don’t go my way but to understand why and work on the solution
To ask about anything I am unsure of as no question is a stupid question
To communicate with the coaches and voice my opinion in an attempt to develop myself further
To understand that while I will try my hardest I am a human being and tennis does not define me as a
person
To try my best and forget the rest
