THE LIONS CLUB OF CHICHESTER Terms and conditions for Spitfire flight lottery 2017 The Lions Club of Chichester (“Chichester Lions”) is an independent charity (registration No. 1057110) affiliated to Lions Clubs International. This lottery is being run under a license granted by Chichester District Council – license registration number: 3815/15/02000/GASSL THE BENEFICIARY The lottery is conducted with the object of raising funds for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance (www.kssairambulance.org.uk). After meeting the cost of the prize and incidental expenses. Assuming all tickets are sold, it is estimated that £3,000 will be raised for the Beneficiary per lottery. TICKETS Lottery tickets may be purchased online at www.chilions.org.uk/spitfire.html or by email request to [email protected]. Tickets cost £25 each and the maximum number of tickets that will be sold is 250 per lottery. You may purchase as many tickets as you wish. Tickets may be purchased both by Lions Club members and by members of the general public. Payment for tickets can be made by bacs directly to the following bank account: Lions Club of Chichester: sort code 60-05-24, account code 26933527 Please quote your name as payment reference. Or by cheque payable to Lions Club of Chichester sent to the following address: 121 Blackboy Lane, Fishbourne, West Sussex, PO18 8BL If paying by cheque please enclose a copy of the email returned by the ticket application form. Electronic numbered tickets will be provided when payment has been received. THE DRAW The draw will take place: - When 250 tickets have been sold - Or no later than November 30th 2017 The winning ticket will be drawn at the offices of Boultbee Flight Academy Ltd or at a public event details of which will be notified to ticket holders in advance of the draw. The draw will be conducted under the supervision of someone independent from the Lions organisation and with no personal interest in the draw. At the sole discretion of Chichester Lions, further lotteries may be initiated in batches of 250 tickets under the same terms and conditions for additional vouchers. THE PRIZE VOUCHER VALUE £2,750 Each draw will have a single prize of a voucher for a flight in a Supermarine Spitfire. Currently a North American Mustang is also available and may be substituted at your request. There is no cash alternative prize and the use of the voucher is subject to the terms and conditions of Boultbee Flight Academy Ltd (“The Academy”). The voucher may be transferred, free of charge, to any person nominated by the prize winner and notified to both Chichester Lions and to The Academy before booking the flight. Chichester Lions make no representations as to the suitability of the prize for specific individuals and it is the responsibility of the purchaser of the lottery ticket to ensure that the intended user of the voucher will meet the criteria set out by The Academy. Please refer to The Academy web site for details of their terms and conditions at www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk FLIGHT DETAILS All operations of the flight are in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of The Academy which may be found at www.boultbeeflightacademy.co.uk The flight will take place from Goodwood Aerodrome, Chichester in West Sussex. The date of the flight will be by mutual agreement between the holder of the voucher (“voucher user”) and The Academy and will be subject to their flight criteria. Chichester Lions are able to arrange for hotel accommodation at special rates at either the Chichester Park Hotel or the Goodwood Hotel. If travelling from any distance we recommend travelling the day prior to the flight. Accommodation costs and travel costs are not included in the prize package. Flight time is calculated on a chock to chock basis. Chichester Lions are able to provide (at cost) a Pilot’s Log Book Chichester Lions cannot be held responsible for any flights which might last less than the 30 minutes chock to chock time. The flight is subject to weather conditions and, when making travel arrangements, the voucher user needs to be aware of the risk of deferral if the weather is unsuitable on the day. Chichester Lions cannot be held responsible for any delay or expenditure incurred as a result of any delay however caused including traffic or transport to enable you to get to the airfield. Chichester Lions reserve the right to arrange press coverage of the winner’s flight, using the local press or other media. The voucher user may request their name to be withheld from any publicity. INSURANCE Please note the flight is not classified as a flight on a scheduled or charter airline. As such you must understand that flying is dangerous and consider any personal insurance consequences, including Life Insurances and Personal Injury insurances. Details of insurance cover provided by the The Academy can be found on their website. Chichester Lions and Lions International do not accept any liability for any loss or injury resulting from the flight itself or from any delay to the flight, howsoever caused. SAFETY RULES At Goodwood Aerodrome, all visitors will obey all the safety rules and regulations of the Airfield operators. There will be a full briefing by the Academy on the day. In the event of any dispute, the Laws of England and Wales will be applied.
