Message from President
The end of the first term has arrived, and I hope you
have all enjoyed your courses. We love to get your
feedback so please contact me if you have anything
good or bad to say about your class. We will always
follow up.
I have really enjoyed Writing for Pleasure. It has been a pleasure to meet new members
and hone my writing skills.
Thank you to all the Leaders who put so much effort into the classes they run.
Demystifying Legal stuff for Seniors has been cancelled for the next term, but hopefully
if we get good numbers we will run it in the second semester. The feedback from this
course was very positive as the legal implications of getting old can be quite a mine field.
Family History, which is very popular, will be running next term. There will be some new
courses so keep an eye open for the announcements.
Don’t forget we are looking for a new president so if you believe you are interested please
feel free to contact me.
Please enjoy your break and have a chocolatey Easter. We will see you all again at the beginning of May.

Photoshop
As promised here is the winning image in the recent portrait shoot.
This image is from Ann Grant and features a dog
portrait and I know how difficult it can be to photograph these animals so well done Ann.
The Data taken from the Image is: Apple Ipad at
1/100 sec at f2.4 at 32 iso and most importantly,
there was no flash used.
You will notice the black colour around the dogs
face and eyes has not been lost. If it was still there it would look different if the use of flash
was allowed.
You can see on the metadata when Anne worked on this image and the version of photoshop
she used.
I had equally good images to view as well but there was no metadata with the image which put
these images into question.

Human Anatomy

Backgammpon
Backgammon is one of the oldest board games known. It is a two-player game involving strategy and luck where playing pieces are moved according to the roll of dice. A player wins by removing all their pieces from the board before their opponent. You need some knowledge of the
game.

About the play:
Bernard plans a romantic weekend with his chic Parisian mistress in his charming converted
French farmhouse while his wife, Jacqueline, is away. He’s arranged for a cordon bleu cook to
prepare gourmet delights and has invited his best friend Robert, too, to provide the alibi.
It's foolproof, what could possibly go wrong?
Well... Suppose Robert turns up not realising quite why he has been invited. Suppose Robert
and Jacqueline are secret lovers, and consequently decide that Jacqueline will not leave for
the weekend. Then, suppose that the cook must pretend to be the mistress and the mistress
is unable to cook.
When everyone's alibi gets confused with everyone else's, an evening of hilarious confusion
ensues as Bernard and Robert improvise at breakneck speed.
