Price File Import setup
How to import a new Manufactures Parts price file.
If you receive the same file each month from your supplier this instruction will assist in importing
your price file. The import settings will need to be configured. This example will configure the
import for a KIA price file.
As an example the following manufactures should always use the same format.
Suzuki Bikes & Cars, Hyundai, KIA, Ford, Honda Bikes & Cars, KTM, Husaberg, SSangyong, Proton,
Great Wall, Jayco, Husqvarna, Peugeot, Citroen, Harley Davidson, Triumph.
Saving the file and extracting it.
Open the email you receive with the price file attached, and save the attachment.
Then select where you like to save the attachment
If you possible save the attachment to a shared folder on the server as this will make it easier to find
price files in the future, instead of being saved on one person’s computer only.
Now go to the folder where that file is saved and extract the documents from the attachment.

Now the files have been extracted from the zip file, and you now need to go into the Eclipse Parts
program to import the new price file. In Eclipse Parts you will need to go to the Parts Management
menu and select Import Parts Price Files and Open Import Layout menu will open.
Once you have clicked on Select Franchise, now the select Layout screen will open, if there is only
one layout option, left click on the Select Layout button and the Parts Master Import Wizard will
now open.
Before you import a price file there are three options available to you, this will allow you to dictate
how you want parts prices to be changed.
After you have ticked what options you wish to use, you now need to select the file you are going to
import and this is the file that was saved at the start of this how to document. To do that you left
click on the three dots button for Import Parts File Location
And go to the folder where you saved that file and the select the file to imported as pictured below
Once you have select the file you have the option to either Preview the parts or just Start importing
the pricefile
If you Preview the parts it
will display what details are
going to be imported, this is
a good way to check that
you are happy with the
details being imported.
The next step you will be asked if you wish to ‘Proceed with Import’, as the file may contain well
over hundreds of thousands of parts and take time to import, if you are happy left click on the
‘Yes’button
Once you have clicked on ‘Yes’ the progress bar will open and show you how much time is remaining
for the import and how many parts have already being imported.
If you do get any errors at all during the import process a screen will pop up. PLEASE CONTACT
SUPPORT and they will help you to fix any problems with the file.
If you click on create import variance report a pop will tell you where its created
Now the Price File has finished importing and a pop up will show how many parts have been
imported.
Now you have imported the franchise price file.
