HEAD BOYS’ BASKETBALL COACH
Mullen High School is seeking to hire an energetic and committed Head Basketball Coach for its
boys’ program. The Coach is expected to provide leadership, plan, organize, and be responsible
for a comprehensive and competitive interscholastic basketball program.
Essential Job Functions:
 Demonstrate the principles of Positive Coaching Alliance as well as carry out objectives
of the school’s core principles and values in accordance with its Mission.
 Oversee the development of lower level program(s) and coaches to include varsity
assistant coaches with the expectation to follow and exemplify the school’s Mission.
 Develop and administrate summer youth camps and feeder programs.
 Direct oversight of the program’s booster club.
 Be a positive role model consistent with the school’s Mission.
 Maintain effective communication with athletes, boosters, school administration, staff,
students, parents and the community.
Qualifications:
 High school basketball head coaching experience preferred.
 Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge of basketball; knowledge of the latest basketball
trends, techniques, strategies, and technical skills.
 Possess an enthused love for basketball and have a desire to develop the fundamental
skills of high school athletes.
 Willingness to incorporate the Positive Coaching Alliance objectives into one’s coaching
philosophy.
 Work within the framework of a Lasallian, Catholic, and College Prep institution.
