Ella’s Pussyhat-in-the-Round

Materials: 16” size 7 circular needle; approx 120 yards worsted weight yarn (sample used approx 2/3 of a skein of Rainwater Worsted in Hypercolor Pink).
Cast on 80 stitches and join into the round being careful not to twist.
(K2, p2) repeat to end of round.
Repeat last round until piece measures 4” from cast on edge.
Change to stockinette stitch (knit every stitch around) until piece measures 8” from cast on edge.
Bind off using one of these two methods:
 Turn inside-out and bind off using 3-needle bind off technique, or
 With right side facing, use traditional bind off for all stitches and stitch hat together across top using mattress
stitch.
