Grew up in Chicagoland area playing setter/RH for top volleyball clubs (Unlimited VBC, Chicago
Juniors, and Divers Sports Center) in one of the first, largest, and arguably most competitive “Power
Leagues” in the country, now the Mizuno Great Lakes Power League. Offered full scholarship to
play at Utah State University (DI) (declined) and later Lewis University (DII) (declined.) Earned BA
from Lewis University and JD from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University.
