Blanket Game (15-20 minutes) Materials Needed: A Blanket (Way to state the obvious!) Two teams not larger than 15 participants per group – or it will get boring. 1. Make sure that EVERONE knows everyone’s first name. 2. Divide those playing into 2 groups. 3. Team #1 is behind the Blanket first and chooses someone to “present” behind the blanket. 4. When ready, we count down 3,2,1! 5. The opposite team has to put their heads together and agree who this person is and say it in unison! 6. Trade places and the other team has their turn behind the blanket. We all win! (Variation – Teams can be ‘timed’ and see which team comes up with the other teams name faster if you want this to be competitive.) The Lifesavers/Candy Game (10-15 min) Materials Needed: Candy, Lists of what each color means to have on hand at groups. 1. Choose your favorite Lifesaver. 2. Divide into Groups not more than 12. 3. Depending on what color Lifesaver your chose, you’ll tell something about yourself! Red (Cherry) – Favorite Hobby Orange (Orange) – Dream Job White (Pineapple) – A Favorite Memory Green (Watermelon) – Favorite Place on Earth Purple (Raspberry) – Wild Card! (10 min) Materials: Line – can be a seam in the carpet, clothesline or for VERY competitive groups, painter’s tape.
