Key Performance Areas: To teach Statistics to diploma and B Tech Students The preparation and development of learning and assessment materials To participate in research activities in the Department (Senior Lecturer) To enroll for a relevant Doctoral degree (Lecturer) To assist with all teaching related activities, including the development of a new curriculum To be involved in Community Engagement projects of the Faculty/Department To liaise with other departments and industry Participate in Departmental, Faculty and Institutional activities Responsible for administrative tasks relating to the learning programmes of the Department Minimum Requirements: Lecturer A relevant Master’s degree plus an Hons degree in Statistics or Mathematical Statistics At least three years experience in teaching, research and/or industry Preference will be given to candidates with a qualification in Education Registration with the Professional Council (SACNASP) will be a strong recommendation Senior Lecturer: A relevant Doctoral degree plus and Hons degree in any branch of Statistics or Mathematical Statistics At five years experience in teaching, research and/or industry Preference will be given to candidates with a qualification in Education Registration with the Professional Council (SACNASP) will be a strong recommendation Send your CV to: [email protected] People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
