Kickball Season
It’s fun, exciting and even a bit nail biting at
times. Come out and see the game in action as
First UMC takes on other church teams in a fun
game of kickball. The games are held at the
Maiden Recreation ball field closest to the park
and picnic tables.
This season’s schedule is:
Tues/Sept 6th at 7:30 against Cornerstone
Thurs/Sept 8th at 8:30 against St. Mathews
Tues/Sept 13th at 8:30 against McKendree
Thurs/Sept 15th at 8:30 against Lawings Chapel
Tues/Sept 20th at 7:30 against Trinity
Thurs/Sept 22nd at 6:30 against Cornerstone
Tues/Sept 27th at 7:30 against St. Mathews
Thurs/Sept 29th at 7:30 against McKendree
Tues/Oct 4th at 7:30 against Lawings Chapel
Thurs/Oct 6th at 6:30 against Trinity
Special Thanks to Coach, Gene Dellinger for
helping to organize the team. And thanks to the
United Methodist Men for sponsoring the
sporting event. And a round of applause to
those men and women who are taking time out
to enjoy a little competition with fellow
Christians.

The Trustees continue to seek improvement
for God’s house. They are accepting quotes
for the windows in the Educational part of
the church. This project will help to reduce
the cost to heat and cool that part of the
church. It will also improve the looks on the
outside of the church. Please be in prayer
for the many on-going projects. If you wish
to assist with funding, muscles, and brains,
please see Mike Beard, Trustees
