Report
After last week’s win away to Sheffield, the Eagles were on the road again to Leeds Force II. The game opened up
with some great defensive play, easy lay ups were scored as a result taking a commanding lead throughout the first
quarter. Plenty of up tempo basketball allowed Haris Ali to score 8 of the 20 points that were scored for the Eagles.
First quarter finished 20-3.
Leeds opened with a 4-0 run, however from then on the Eagles put 24 points on the board before Leeds could
answer back. The points were shared amongst the bench with those players collecting most of the minutes and
doing a great job of sharing the ball and making it easy for themselves to get open shots. Lay ups were once again
the main focus for the Eagles as they finished the first half 44-9.
The second half began a lot differently than the 1st, both teams couldn’t score for the first 4 minutes of the game.
Plenty of shots/ lay ups were attempted but both failed to convert. Sol Clark and Bruno Goncalves were the main
scorers this quarter, both scoring 6 points each to finish the quarter 59-17 to the Eagles.
In the fourth quarter the Eagles went on a 10-0 run before Leeds could answer back with some great play. Jack
Marsden led the scoring in the fourth, scoring 6 points from great defensive play which led to him out running the
opponents on the fast break. The Eagles finished the game 85-26. Next week they play Leeds Tigers at home.
