The Hebrew University of Jerusalem is home to a unique and diverse collection of
"natural history" specimens and objects from the Southern Levant. The location of
the Southern Levant as an important corridor between three continents enabled
faunal and human migrations throughout the Pleistocene era and their fingerprints
are still evident at many sites in Israel. For over 100 years these specimens have
been collected, curated and used by the researchers as a scientific and teaching
resource.
The visit will be hosted by Dr. Kahila Bar-Gal, Director of the National Natural
History Collections
