• OPPORTUNITY TO ANALYSE WHAT WE HAVE DONE WELL AND HOW WE WANT

• WHY ARE WE ALWAYS SCRAMBLING FOR MONEY? DO WE ALWAYS WANT TO

• GENERATE STRATEGIES TO TAKE US ONWARDS AND KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES
OUR AIM IN TIME:
• To engage the whole membership and local community in contributing to a STRATEGIC
PLAN that sets out our strategies or actions for coming years towards some GOALS
that we set together
• In order to set goals and strategies we need clear, concise understanding of exactly
where we want to be in the future and what we want to look like…. We can then set
goals for all areas such as finances, program, promotions etc.
WHAT DOES “MISSION” AND “VISION” HAVE TO DO
WITH GOALS AND STRATEGIES FOR THE FUTURE?
• If we have a clear and common picture of what we want to look like in years to come, we
can then work effectively on HOW we arrive at our planned 2021 destination.
• ”Mission” tells us what our main purpose is as a Community Radio … this must directly
relate to policies of the ACMA and CBAA that determine what we do as a Community
Radio and whether or not a licence will be renewed.
• “Vision” is our united “picture” of how we would like to look in the future.
MISSION………….A START…….
A) To provide quality, local radio programming and entertainment to the Fraser Coast
Community
OR
B) To provide quality, local radio broadcasting and entertainment to the Fraser Coast
Community
OR
C) To entertain and inform our local community, abiding by the policies of the ACMA and
taking into account the diversity inherent in our demographic.

VISION……. A START
Fraser Coast FM provides a diverse range of programs that offer variety to the community
OR
Have far larger percentage of listeners
OR
Be the chosen broadcaster for entertainment and local information

• Like the mission and vision, the values we hold dear as an organisation will direct us
towards the activities and priorities we will set though coming years
