College Mission
Napa Valley College prepares students for evolving roles in a diverse, dynamic, and

Athletic Department Mission
The mission of the Napa Valley College Athletics Department projects a code of conduct that

Interstate 80 east towards Sacramento:
take the Napa exit at Highway 37: 2 miles to
junction of Highway 37 and Highway 29, turn
north (right) on Highway 29; 7 miles to
junction of Highway 29 and Napa/Lake
Berryessa turnoff (Highway 221), stay in the
right hand lanes toward Napa; 1 1/2 miles to
Streblow Drive and Napa Valley College exit
(third stop light, left turn), turn right off
Streblow onto Diemer Drive, proceed to the
second parking lot facing the highway.
Directions from the Sacramento Area
Interstate 80 east towards Sacramento:
take the Napa exit at Highway 12 (Jameson
Canyon): Follow Highway 12 for approx. 6.3
miles until it intersects at a light with Highway
29; turn north (right) on Highway 29; 0.2 miles
to junction of Highway 29 and Napa/Lake
Berryessa turnoff (Highway 221), stay in the
right hand lanes toward Napa; 1 1/2 miles to
Streblow Drive and Napa Valley College exit
(third stop light, left turn), turn right off

Highway 101 north to Highway 37 (east) exit at
Novato (watch for sign that says Napa); turn
north (left) on Highway 121 at Sears Point;
follow 121/12 to junction of Highway 29 and
121 in Napa (stop light), turn north (left) on 29,
go to the first exit (Imola Avenue), stay on
Imola until it intersects to the right at
Soscol/221, (the sign says Vallejo) and then the
next exit into the college parking lot.

Parking
Napa Valley College has reserved open parking for all sporting events. Parking lots closet to the
event will be reserved for participant and spectator parking during the hours of the event.
Campus Police
For any emergencies or assistance, please contact Napa Valley College Police at (707) 256-7700
or 511.
Locker Rooms
Visiting locker rooms are located below the gymnasium. Showers are available to use as well.
Please bring all valuables with you back to the event location. Napa Valley College is not
responsible for lost or stolen items.
Medical Support
Napa Valley College will provide an onsite/game athletic trainer at all home contest. Please
contact prior to the event if you will be needing any assistance, and we will try to accommodate
your needs.

DECORUM STATEMENT
REQUIRED CCCAA 2015-16 DECORUM STATEMENT
After Introductions and Before Start of Each Game, Meet, or Match
California Community College Athletic Association:
FANS, THE CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION DECORUM POLICY IS IN
EFFECT FOR ALL GAMES THROUGHOUT THIS EVENT. PLEASE - BE RESPECTFUL AND COURTEOUS
TO EACH OTHER.
THE C.C.C.A.A. STRONGLY ENCOURAGES ALL FANS TO AVOID USING PROFANE LANGUAGE,
TAUNTING OR MAKING INAPPROPRIATE GESTURES OR NONVERBAL SIGNS. IN ADDITION, ANY
NON-CREDENTIALED PERSON THAT INTERRUPTS PLAY WILL IMMEDIATELY BE ESCORTED OUT
OF THE VENUE BY SECURITY STAFF.
THOSE VIOLATING THE C.C.C.A.A. DECORUM POLICY WILL BE WARNED ONCE. SUBSEQUENT
VIOLATIONS OF THE C.C.C.A.A. DECORUM POLICY WILL RESULT IN EJECTION FROM THIS HOST
VENUE.

4.4 DECORUM 4.4.1 DECORUM—Is the CCCAA code of behavior for all participants in
sponsored athletic events. For the purpose of this policy, the following definitions apply:
A. PARTICIPANT—is a player, coach, team member, team attendant, official, or college
staff member.
B. EVENT—is defined as the time a team or participant arrives at the event site until the
time the team or participant leaves the event site.
C. EJECTION—Removal from a scrimmage/game/meet/match of a participant for the
remainder of the event.
1. Sport rulebook infraction. Removal from the event for actions not under the
jurisdiction of this policy, but are covered by the rules of the sport.
2. Decorum violation: Removal of a participant for verbal or physical misconduct,
or unsportsmanlike conduct.
a. Verbal misconduct or unsportsmanlike conduct is defined as, but not
limited to, unsportsmanlike tactics, such as using profanity or vulgarity,
taunting, spitting on an opponent, ridiculing, finger pointing, making
obscene gestures, throwing gang signs, baiting an opponent, inciting
undesirable crowd reactions, persistent arguing with officials, or
aggressive behavior toward officials.
b. Physical misconduct is defined as, but not limited to, any attempt by a
participant to contact another participant in a combative manner
unrelated to the sport. Such acts include striking or attempting to strike a
participant whether or not there is contact.
3. All ejections will be reviewed by the conference commissioner, who will
determine if the ejection was a sport rulebook infraction or a decorum violation.
a. A decision that a decorum violation has occurred may be appealed to the
conference appeals board.
b. An appeal does not set aside the sanction while the appeal is being
deliberated.
c. All decorum violations will result in at least a next event suspension.

4.4.2 Where official rule books (see Bylaw 4.1.1) and the CCCAA decorum rules differ, the

1. Be dressed in game uniform.
2. Communicate with any team personnel or officials.
3. Take part in any pregame activities at the site of the competition.
4. Be in the confines of the playing site once pregame activities have started.
C Coaches or team attendants sanctioned by any of the above bylaws are prohibited
from participation in the event only, not from carrying out assigned non-even
responsibilities.

4.6 REPORTING OF REMOVALS (Adopted 4/3/09 effective 7/1/09)
4.6.1 Each removal must be reported to the athletic director within 24 hours.
A. The athletic director shall immediately inform the conference commissioner.
B. Failure by the coach to report within 24 hours shall result in an automatic one (1)game suspension.
C. Failure to report by the athletic director shall result in disciplinary action against the
athletic director or the sports program by the conference commissioner.
4.6.2 Postconference Competition Reporting (Adopted 3/31/11 effective 7/1/11)
A. Each removal from a postconference competition game, meet, or match must be
reported by the coach to the coach’s athletic director within 12 hours.
B. The athletic director will immediately inform the conference commissioner.
C. Failure to report the ejection to the athletic director within 12 hours is an automatic
one (1)-game suspension of the coach.
D. Failure to report by the athletic director with 24 hours shall result in disciplinary
action against the athletic director or the sports program by the conference.
