Description:
If you are involved in activities outside of school or you have a personal situation that you feel may
hinder you from completing your Science Formal hours requirement, you may qualify for an hours
reduction. Hours reductions range from 5 hours to 25 hours based on your level of involvement.
Examples of activities that can qualify you for an hours reduction are:
 Varsity athlete
 Part time job
 School field trips

Application Process:
Applications are due October 7th, 2015. Absolutely no hours reduction requests will be
considered after this date. Please submit an electronic copy to Michelle Murat, Communications
Chair at [email protected].
Reductions will be granted on the basis of a written application only. An online version of this
application is available through the Hour Logger Program (coming soon!). Applicants will be notified
on the success of their application once decisions have been made.
