Information for Students/Agents/Parents for the
Immigration New Zealand (INZ) Nomination Letter
A decision on the issuing of the Nomination letter is subject to Unitec’s provision
under Immigration New Zealand (INZ) guidelines.
In order to issue this letter, Unitec needs to be satisfied that the student
-
Is a bona fide student and meets entry requirements into the programme
which the Unconditional offer of place will demonstrate
Have sufficient funds for their study at Unitec in New Zealand, including
tuition and living expenses
Character – No character issues in any countries including New Zealand.
Therefore, students will need to provide financial evidence ONE of followings

They are planning to use the Funds transfer scheme (FTS) - ANZ, Unitec
issues a “conditional nomination letter”

Students have the sufficient funds minimum of a total NZ$15,000 + first-year
tuition fee in the student’s own account in New Zealand or overseas.

They have paid their tuition and/or living costs (total of NZ$15,000 for a full
year of study)

If the funds are available to use in their parents/family accounts – Account
holder will need to complete a Declaration of Funds Availability form*

A Financial Declaration from a Unitec reliance agent
Documents accepted as evidence: (please note we require certified/notarised copies
of originals and certified English translations if applicable)

Bank balances certificate issued in recent 1 month
Receipt(s) for living costs
Education loans
Signed Financial declaration form by sponsors*, official proof/evidences of
relationship and Certified/Notarised copy of account holder’s bank
balances/statements/certificate issued in recent 1 month (sufficient funds
equivalent to NZ$15,000 for a full year of study)
*Family friends/Close friends/Far relatives which relationship evidences are
unable to be provided are not considered valid sponsors.

For New Zealand bank statements, a recent up-to-date 1-month transaction
history is required. Further evidences may be required if any large deposits
and/or lump sum deposits shown.
Unless all documents are received, we cannot process the application. Once all
documents are received we will process the application
