Position: Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball (2nd Assistant or 3rd Assistant) Department: Athletics Reports to: Head Coach, Women's Basketball Job Summary for the 2nd Assistant and 3rd Assistant: Assist the Head Coach in the organization, coaching, and administration of the St. Francis College NCAA Division I Women's Basketball program. Also assist in the development of plans for games, practices, and out-of-season workouts. Produce end of season statistical analysis manual. Maintain and continue to develop social media pages for the Woman’s Basketball program. Work with the College’s Athletic Compliance area in all matters related to the program. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics. Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the 2nd Assistant Coach: On-court position coach for perimeter wing and post players Serve as coordinator of the scouting program Responsible for production of all pre-game scouting materials Take a primary recruiting role under the direction of the recruiting coordinator Coordinate on campus recruiting Responsible for developing under-class recruiting list Coordinate the player development program with the College’s strength and conditioning director Academic liaison to the College’s academic advising area and the Registrar’s office Academic counselor to an assigned group Specific Duties and Responsibilities of the 3rd Assistant Coach: On-court position coach for post players Coordinate all team travel plans Plan all pre-game and post-game meal arraignments Coordinate all gym scheduling with administration and the College’s Men’s Basketball program Serve as liaison with the Assistant Director of Athletics for business procedures Coordinate all film exchange procedures Hire, manage and oversee team managers Coordinate laundry program Manage and develop Basketball Alumni involvement and community service programs Assist and coordinate marketing initiatives with the College’s Director of Athletic Marketing Work with the College’s IT, Facilities and Maintenance Departments to provide for program needs Coordinate gym preparedness on practice and game days Maintain daily sign-in logs Academic counselor to an assigned group Conduct post-game video and statistical reviews Recruiting as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and the ability to pass the annual NCAA Coaches' Certification Exam. Commitment to performing duties in compliance with applicable NCAA, Northeast Conference, and St. Francis College rules, regulations, and policies.
