Let’s work together for the Good Life Let’s work together links all organisations and individuals working on the ground in the community, by providing a series of training modules, which offer increased knowledge of the potential risks and problems that residents may be facing, how to spot them, and the various services and facilities and appropriate actions that can be taken in order to prevent the problem either occurring in the first place, or to stop it worsening if it has already started to become apparent. Let’s work together is a key part of delivering The Good Life in South Staffs, as it builds networks, up-skills the community, and the more people that are trained, the greater the impact and benefits for everyone. There are three different proposed training levels 1. For home visiting staff and front line staff (e.g. public sector and voluntary) This forms the first essential core objective of the project. 2. Training the community (residents and members) (e.g. dementia friends, Good Neighbours). 3. Commercial, businesses, shops and traders who could benefit from increased knowledge benefiting their commercial activities and community responsibilities For clarity, all modules will be available to the three levels but the length and depth of the training may differ. The training scheme is being put together by agencies working in South Staffs. A list of suggested modules already being considered is attached. Your suggestions and ideas on other training modules you would like to either offer or receive is welcomed, please complete the yellow cells below: Training modules you/your organisation would be able and like to offer as part of the Let’s work together program Training modules you your organisation would like to receive or think community would benefit from (Please continue on an extra rows if necessary) Training level suitability (i.e, 1, 2 and or 3) Do you consider this training is essential core training (e.g. safeguarding or risk prevention) or added value (enhancing skills or community ethos) (Core or Added Value) Do you think this should be an immediate priority or future development (please enter immediate or future) Could you please also confirm the number of employees/staff from your agency or organisation that you anticipate would be able to undertake and benefit from training in South Staffs area. Number of people to from your organisation able to attend training: It is envisaged that participants in the training modules would work towards collecting points for attending different training modules and that on completion of a core set of agreed modules would be recognised as a Let’s Work Together for the Good Life Ambassador. Thank you for your time completing the above tables. Your feedback will inform discussions by the multi-agency team working to initiate the training modules for April, and enable the direction of the continuing development of the programme. If you would like to be involved in early discussions, a meeting is planned for the 19 Feb at 10:30 to 12:30 in the Codsall Council offices. The agenda is attached for your reference. Please call or email if you would like to take part in discussions to develop the South Staffs program of training. Feedback will be shared following the meeting to enable your continuing involvement. Please send your responses to [email protected] before close of play on 18 Feb 2014.
