MANIFEST CREATIVE ARTS FESTIVAL: CREATIVE
WRITING AS A SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE
CHURCH FAMILY CAMP

Raised in hip hop culture and educated at a Bible
Institute, Micah Bourne’s creative truth telling
combines spoken word performance poetry,
rhythmic roots and theological training. The poet is
a keynote presenter at the Manifest Creative Arts
Festival (Avondale College of Higher Education,
March 20-22). His beat: creative writing as a spiritual discipline; and engaging culture with holy art.
Festival passes from $75. Visit
www.artsmanifest.info for more information.
Only 2 weeks to go!!! Have
you booked in yet? See Pr
Rangi if you need more info!
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER 2015
This year’s World Day of Prayer
will be held on Friday March 6 at
7:3opm at the Anglican Church.
The main Biblical text for the 2015
service is based upon the Gospel
of John 13:1-17. After washing the
feet of his community of disciples, a gesture described in detail
in the Gospel, Jesus asked this
question, “Do you know what I
have done to you?” How would
you respond to that? Our sisters from the WDP committee in The Bahamas, who wrote the worship service
resources for the celebrations on March 6th 2015, immersed themselves deeply in the reading of the text to
find answers in Jesus’ gesture of love – a radical love.
Radical love is the theme that weaves together all the
components of the worship resources. They eloquently
tell us that Jesus is God’s presence of radical love in the
world. Following Jesus’ example of washing his disciple’s
feet, we are asked to continue the gesture of love in
The Bahamas and in our own communities.
Let’s join together in prayer in Narromine on March 6.
