Learning Scenario 1: Roll-out of a
new Information System
Organisational Unit: Department of Environment and Energy
Process: Statement for building permission
Learning Objective/Knowledge (e.g. process flow, information system, legal
issues, …): A new tool for document management has been introduced which
changes the way the process is handled. Documents either already arrive
electronically or have to be scanned. Statements are collected electronically.
Involved actors/roles (employees, management,, other PAs):
Internal: people in the Department of Environment and Energy
Other PAs: Department for town and country planning
Learning type: qualified employees, organisation (partly unforeseen situations)
KM building block: knowledge use, knowledge generation and knowledge
sharing

Learning Scenario 2:
Student Admission
Organisational Unit: School of Business
Process: Admission for Master of Science
Learning Objective/Knowledge (e.g. process flow, information system, legal
issues, …): The candidate is accepted if she/he has a bachelor degree in
Information Systems, Information Technology or Business Administration with
at least good grade from an accredited university. Learning about how to find
out about accreditation of unknown universities, assessment of grading system

Internal: People responsible for Admission
Learning type: qualified employees, organisation (partly unforeseen situations)
