Healing the relationship between the Rep of Ireland and England

Healing the relationship between the Rep of
Ireland and England
As you all know, Ireland had a very bad relationship with England due to our very
sad history.
Over many years wonderful Christian men and women have come to Ireland from
England and wept and prayed, prayers of repentance. Likewise Irish men and
women have gone to England and prayed prayers of repentance for the I R A
bombings.
When we heard that the Queen was coming to Ireland for a State visit we could
hardly believe it.
We set about finding out the areas, she would be coming to see, and then we
mobilised the praying women and men to prayer walk, and ask God for protection
being ever mindful of the threat to her life here on Irish soil.
We prayed, and walked, made phone calls, and rallied support, all was in place,
then the moment we had waited to see came. Her Majesty landed on the soil of
the Republic of Ireland.
Our television cameras captured every move made, televisions screens piped all
the events into our homes and the Nation rose to welcome the Queen of England.
Have you any idea of the absolute miracle that happened before our eyes? All
the Glory and Honour and Praise goes to our amazing God and saviour Jesus
Christ. He hears all our prayers, and He is so wanting to listen to us, and to
answer all our prayers.
When we went to England repenting for I R A bombings, we really never thought
that our nations would be healed as a result of our acts, and prayers, but God
really does listen and He really does wait for us to act before He moves to bring
healing and reconciliation.
The People of the Republic of Ireland were so thrilled with the visit of the Queen,
it was so evident to see. Yes there were a few trouble makers, but Praise God
they did not succeed in carrying out any of their evil plans, due to the vigilance of
our Garda Siochana (Police force of the Republic).
When a hurt is caused, and a person wants to be healed we usually lead them as
follows.
One - I forgive.
Two - I let it go.
Three - I don't hold it against the person anymore.
Four - I bless that person.
When Her Majesty was in Ireland, it was so obvious that the people had forgiven
England for our past sad sad history. We let it go .We don't hold it against
England anymore, and finally bless England . This final stage came when the
Queen was in Cashel in Co Tipperary , The local school children sang to her The
Irish Blessing . We were all weeping when this happened as we realised that it is
finished.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was so, so, gracious and kind, loving and warm
,on her visit here.
Her use of our Language at the banquet in Dublin Castle was very moving for us
all. The way she laid the wreath in the Garden of Remembrance (The garden
remembers the 1916 leaders who were shot by the British) People were stunned
by this act.
The fun times were great, and Her Majesty was so full of smiles, and laughed a
lot. We would never have seen this side to her in Ireland. I have so many
memories of this most important event in the History of the Republic of Ireland
and England, it has all been noted down in Heaven.
I can but feel happy and excited about the future for us. When a nation is
reconciled to a former enemy, and all the love and happiness is shared, I can only
see we are now ready for revival, please God, we so need a touch from your
throne of Mercy and love.
