Discovery Theater has presented live educational performances at
the Smithsonian to young people throughout the Washington,
D.C., area and beyond since 1979. With programs that enrich the
Smithsonian experience for nearly 50,000 children annually, Discovery Theater is a gateway to the exhibits, collections, and themes
contained in the museums and galleries on the National Mall and
in our community. There’s so much to do and explore at the
Smithsonian—and Discovery Theater is the ideal place to begin!

Kids Euro Festival
.
Ulrike Kley has been a freelance
puppeteer since 2008. She has
worked as a soloist and with
various companies that produce
their own pieces in the AmaiPuppet Theater, founded by Ms.
Kley. Amai-Puppet Theater offers guest performances and independent theater productions as
well. Ulrike Kley tours in Germany
as well as traveling abroad.
This year marks the sixth annual Kids Euro
Festival! Kids Euro Festival is a month-long festival of European arts and culture that presents
more than 200 free activities to metro-area families. Performances, concerts, workshops, movies, storytelling, puppetry, dance, magic, cinema... and it’s all brought to you by the 28 European Union Member States! It’s like a European
trip—but you don’t need a passport!
