As an outcome of this serious deliberations, the group stressed the need for a common and inclusive platform, which accommodates, researchers, professionals, practitioners, teachers and research scholars of economics in Kerala. The three day conference focuses on the basic theme of ‘Migration, Development and Society’. The demographic transition which is well underway in Kerala is a unique experience whose wide ranging implications need deeper study and investigation. It is only relevant to revisit Kerala’s development experience on a wider canvass. The conference is another milestone in Kerala’s development trajectory.
