team payment.
SNC Player Membership
As Captain it is your responsibility to ensure your players have a current SNC Player Membership valid at the
State Netball Centre prior to their 1st game. Players without an SNC Player Membership are ineligible to play and are not insured. The
Player Membership year commences in January each year (Season 1). Once paid, the player is eligible to participate in any social
competition conducted at the State Netball Centre until the expiration of the Player Membership which is at the end of Season 2 in the
current year (December)
On the Night You should (a) arrive 15 minutes prior to game time, collect your team card from the games counter, tick the players
playing that night (add any new players), collect your teams game fee and deliver both back to the games counter prior to taking the
court (b) have your team on court, bibbed and in position by the commencement of your game time (late penalties apply).
Game Times & Draws Can be viewed via the Netball QLD website. Go to Play Netball then NQ Competitions, Social Netball and under
the heading “Current Season” The draw can also be viewed on the MyNetball App. You can view all draws, results and premiership ladders.
Your team’s draw will be available on MyNetball at 9am on the Friday before the new season and it is the Captains responsibility to inform
their players of game times.
Grading Each nomination should provide details of the team’s ability/present grade. The Manager will consider this information and
grade each team appropriately in the context of the competition. Final grading decisions will be made after the completion of Round 3 and
after reviewing the results. The Manager reserves the right to decide grading and correspondence will not be entered into.
Uniform Regulations/Penalties Uniforms must be worn by all teams and penalties for non-compliance commence in round 4. The
penalty for non-compliance in or after Round 4 is a 3 point penalty for every player out of uniform, to a maximum of 9 points per team per
game. It is each team captain’s responsibility to notify the umpires of their oppositions’ uniform infringements. The umpires’ decision
is final. Uniform penalties will be deducted from the score at half-time. No uniform penalties will be deducted after the commencement
of the 2nd half.
Nails, Jewellery & Piercings Fingernails should be short and smooth (to the umpires’ satisfaction) or gloves worn. There will be no
exceptions made. No item of jewellery, except a wedding ring and/or medical alert bracelet shall be worn on court. If either or both are
worn, each shall be taped. No adornment that may endanger player safety shall be worn. The umpires’ decision is final. Players may not
take the court with concealed piercing jewellery and by doing so you are putting yourself and others at risk of injury and will therefore be
liable for any resulting injuries.
Player & Spectator Behaviour
As captain, you will be expected to encourage only positive behaviour within your team and from your
sideline supporters. Foul language, bad sportsmanship and any other behaviour deemed to not be in the good spirit of the game will
result in players being sent from the court at the discretion of the Umpire. Spectators will also be removed. Umpire abuse will not be
tolerated from any-one. Players who are repeatedly reported for foul language or aggressive behaviour will be removed from the
competition at the Manager’s discretion and, unless the offending player is removed from the team, the team, as a whole, will not be
offered renomination in any subsequent competition. Players who are sent off can face further disciplinary action at the discretion of the
Manager.
Fill in Players Fill ins who are members of another team playing on the same night should not be written on the team card as they cannot
become qualified players in more than one team and are unable to participate in finals as a fill in player .
Scorers
Each team is required to provide a scorer to every game in the State Netball Centre Social Competition. If a scorer is not
provided, this will result in a player being removed from the court to undertake scoring duties. No exceptions! The minimum age of a
scorer is 13 years of age. The official scoresheet will be deemed to be the final result and argument over its accuracy will not be entered
into.
The Manager Reserves the right to refuse the nomination or renomination of any team, based on previous seasons’ behaviour or
otherwise attained knowledge of that team which would, in their opinion, deem them unfit to participate in social competitions at the
State Netball Centre.
