Aims of the contest:
 develop stage culture and enhance the level of participants;
 give an opportunity to participate in other projects, contests and festivals;
 give a possibility to exchange with the methodical and practical work experience;
 strengthen the international bounds.
I. PARTICIPANTS AWARDS
Grand Prix (3000 €), statuette, diploma;
The contest “IN MEMORIAM” prize 2000 €;
1, 2, 3 places and the names of the laureates in each age group, statuettes, diplomas, prizes of sponsors and
organizers;
1, 2, 3 class diplomas (4 - 6 places).
Nominations:
“Kaunas Talent 2017” FOLK;
“Kaunas Talent 2017” POP;
“Kaunas Talent 2017” ROCK;
“Kaunas Talent 2017” JAZZ;
The nominees will be awarded with diplomas, prizes of sponsors and organizers.
Special awards:
Contest director’s prize;
Jury chairperson’s prize;
The most perspective artist’s prize;
Audience sympathy prize;
Contest organizers’ prize;
The most stylish artist prize;
The most original artist prize;
The youngest artist prize;
FREE invitations to the international contests.
All participants will be awarded with participation certificates and souvenirs.
On condition of absence of award-worthy artists, Grand Prix and award-winning places may not be
assigned. If several contestants collect equal number of points; the chairperson of the jury has a right for
an additional vote. Jury’s decision is final and indisputable.
II. PARTICIPANTS
Age groups:
♫ 11 – 13 years old,
♫ 14 – 16 years old,
♫ 17 – 19 years old,
♫ 20 years old and older.
♫ Vocal groups (duets, trios, quartets and ensembles – not more than 10 people). Trios and
ensembles must perform songs in not less than 3 voices. The improvisation of Jazz is only for the
participants from 15 years old.
III. ORGANIZATION OF THE CONTEST
The contest is open to all genres of vocal music. Contestants may perform professional composers’ songs
and songs of their own.
Participants perform songs with phonogram (-) or with the accompaniment of the selected musical
instruments. Back vocals can be recorded only fragmentally, WITHOUT DUPLICATING THE MAJOR
PARTS, ONLY FOR SOLOISTS. The major parties cannot even fragmentally be duplicated by any
musical instrument.
Drawing lots shall establish the order of the appearance of the participants. Open vote system is within 30
points.
Evaluation criteria: professionalism, originality, stage image, arrangement and interpretation of the song.
Contest “KAUNAS TALENT 2017” will consist of two tours.
TOUR I.
1st song.
♫ All contestants perform a song in their native language.

2 song.
♫ Freely chosen song. Both days songs points are summed up.
TOUR II. (For participants from 14 years old).
♫ “IN MEMORIAM”, this contest – concert is dedicated for dead composers or performers
(W. Houston, J. Cocker, M. Jackson, A. Winehouse, E. Presley and etc.). Songs in this contest
cannot duplicate.
Participants, who are willing to take part in the international contest, must send the package of 4 parts
ONLY to this email: [email protected] (the deadline for the applications is 01 November
2017):
1. The application form;
2. Copy of passport or birth certificate (will be used only for organizational purposes, in accordance with
LR Personal Data Protection, Act No. I-1374 1996, June 11);
3. 2 colored photos in perfect quality and JPG format (not less than 1 MB – for brochure, 3x4 format
photo – for accreditation). Poor quality photos will not be printed;
4. Two halfbacks (11-13 years) or three halfbacks (from 14 years) (-) in WAV format via
www.wetransfer.com (in the 1st field indicate our e-mail address – [email protected], in the 2nd
field – your e-mail address). By sending the application participants and their managers agree with the
conditions of the contest.
IV. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Payment of the entry fee:
for soloists – 65 €; academic vocal – 50 €; duo – 100 €; vocal groups (3-5 members) – 150 €,
vocal groups (6-10 members) – 200 €.
Fee of the hotel – 270 € for each participant (fee includes hotel with half board for 5 days: on the 23rd of
November – evening meal, on the 28th – breakfast, banquets, presents, technical service, etc.), for a leader – 260 €,
accompanying person – 270 €. Transfer Vilnius-Kaunas-Vilnius – 30 €; Kaunas Airport-Kaunas-Kaunas Airport –
10 €. Excursion – 20 €. Contestants have to be present at the arrival day and register at the Organizational
committee.

Contest and these rules copyrights are protected by law. It is prohibited to plagiate, copy or reproduct them.©
Participants must stay in the hotels of the organizers of the contest. Leaders of delegations are responsible for the
life, the health and the behavior of the members of delegations during their stay in Lithuania.
Participants also assume all liability of any disputes for the origin of tracks used for their participation in the
competition. The Organizers are not responsible for any offense that could be committed in this regard, being
released specifically for each participant by signing the Entry Form.
The organizers of the contest reserve the right to change the rules and regulations.
