Card Clothings for Roller Cards

Card Clothings for Roller Cards
Superior Performance
General Information
on Card Clothings for Roller Cards
Clothing types, designed for the widest range
of requirements, are available for a variety of
raw materials processed on roller cards. The
clothing specifications indicated represent a
selection from our large product range.
New and further developments are often designed and effected in co-operation with reputable manufacturers of roller cards.
INTERLINKED CLOTHINGS are recommended:
•
•
for strenuous carding in the breast section of the roller card
for safety reasons, particularly for large working widths as
well as for processing long and coarse fibres
FEED ROLLERS, FEED ROLLER CLEANING
ROLLERS AND PRE-OPENING ROLLERS
We recommend the application of interlinked clothings for these
rollers (except for morell clothings for processing wool).
Grooved rollers can be trued off for the installation of interlinked
clothings.
All card clothings, either metallic or flexible,
are manufactured under close observation of
ISO 9001 norms.
Our technical advisors would be delighted to
work out individual clothing recommendation based on your particular requirements.
The cross-sections of roller cards attached are
examples.
ZIG-ZAG fancy fillets are used for metallic cylinder clothings; it is
only in exceptional cases that these penetrate the cylinder wire.
The ZIG-ZAG fancy fillet is designed to lift the fibres in combina
tion with the air flow.
TRANSFER AND TRANSPORT ROLLERS
The clothing of the transfer roller needs to be aggressive and sturdy to assure proper transport of the fibres.
It is now possible to use transport brush fillets to clothe transport
rollers for worsted yarns. These replace the well-known Tampico
fillets that are installed on the transport rollers located between
breast cylinder and morell roller as well as between the first and
second morell roller.
CYLINDER AND DOFFER ROLLERS
We manufacture optimised clothings are for each type of fibre;
execution of these is adapted to the latest technological findings.
Cylinder wires used for the fine fibre range are available in special
steel alloys.
MORELL CLOTHINGS
These clothings are used only on roller cards for worsted yarn and
only on elements with burr removers. As a result of the variable
tooth pitch ideal distribution of the teeth can be achieved with
only one clothing.
WORKER AND STRIPPER CLOTHINGS
CONDENSER ROLLERS
Impeccable running properties are achieved with special tooth
shapes as well as polished surfaces of the clothings.
TAKE-OFF ROLLERS
We offer optimised specifications, with or without polished surfaces.
Rights for technical modifications reserved
We manufacture three types of fancy clothings:
Standard fancy fillet; ZIG-ZAG fancy fillet and fancy sheets.
The clothing number of the fancy is determined by the density of
the cylinder wire.
Standard fancy fillets and fancy sheets are usually applied in combination with flexible cylinder clothings. These penetrate the
cylinder fillet.
Clothings on random rollers are subject to increased wear. Therefore we also manufacture these clothings in the special G4 alloy
(CUTTY-SHARP) thereby increasing the life time of the clothings
for random rollers by 30%.

For the processing of man-made fibres or blends of man-made
fibres and wool best results will be achieved with metallic card
clothings. Flexible clothings for workers are recommended for the
processing of fine and long types of wool.
Specially designed worker clothings with increased fibre adhesion
are available for the processing of difficult fibres.
