Year 3 handball
On Wednesday the 8th of February children from Year 3 all went to a handball
festival, to upgrade their skills in sports and to go have some fun! They played
lots of different games and enjoyed it. It was at Cleethorpes Leisure Centre,
and was held by Gravity Red. The children did lots of skill based activities and
were mixed in with different schools to play against each other in competition.
Lexi in Year 3 quoted, “The instructions of handball are you can’t hold the ball
in your hands for more than three seconds. Also you cannot move with the ball
or it is a foul.” She found it really fun and exciting and she would love to go
again!

Sports Leaders
This term Miss Littlewood has decided to
have some sports leaders to run sports at
dinner time. The sports leaders’ names are
Charlie Y5, Cody Y5 Imogen Y6, Layla Y6, Skye
Y6, Olivia Y6, and Teegan B Y6. They are really
supportive towards all ages in the school.
Matthew from Y1 says football is a really good
sport as it’s really fun. Luke says he likes it
because the sports leaders help them to
improve their skills and be better at sports!
We do sports leaders to inspire children to be
better at sports and we encourage and
support them to be more fit and healthy and
to get into competitions!
