• Allstudentsinterestedinbeingpartoftheaward-winningStaplesPlayers,oneofthelargestandmostactivestudent
organizationsatSHS,mustattendtheGENERALMEETINGfrom2:30-3:30pm.Wewelcomeperformers(actors,singers,
dancers),techies(setbuilding,painting,lighting,costumes,props),productionteammembers(productionassistants,assistant
stagemanagers,assistantdirectors),andpitmusicians.
• ThestudentofficerswillberunninganAUDITIONWORKSHOPafterthegeneralmeeting(approximately3:30-4:00pm).This
workshopisforunderclassmenandanyoneelseplanningtoauditionfortheirfirstPlayersshow.Itwillgivestudentsan
opportunitytofindouthowauditionsarerun,learnwhattoexpectduringauditions,andincludetheopportunitytotryout
auditionmaterialifstudentsareinterested.
• PleaseattendtheGENERALMEETING,CREWDAYandFIELDDAYevenifyouplanonplayingsportsand/orwillbeinvolvedin
anotheractivityinthefallanddon’texpecttoparticipateinPlayersuntillateronintheyear.Therearenon-musicalopportunities
secondsemesterincludingthe17thAnnualOneActPlayFestival,amajorblackboxdrama,andoneormorestudio(studentdirected)productions.Anyonewhoisnotcastinashowisencouragedtostayinvolvedintheprogrambyworkingonatechcrew!

• AllfreshmanandsophomoreactorsandtechiesshouldattendCREWDAY.SeniorManagersandCrewHeadswillhavebrief
organizationalmeetingsandmaydoabitofworktopreparefortheyear.NewmemberswillbegivenatouroftheFourBuilding.
Thisisagreatwaytolearnmoreaboutthevariouscrews,particularlysinceallunderclassmanactorsarerequiredtodotechhours.
