CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION
1.
RULES
Unless otherwise noted, the General Conditions of Competition and the Rules of Golf shall be used
throughout this event. The Event Committee has sole management and control of the event.
2.
COMPETITION DETAILS
The Event shall be played over 18 holes. The Competition Fee is payable prior to the round.
Tee timeslots are offered using the club’s computerised timesheet system. Entry will be accepted
on the day of play, if tee times are available.
3.
COMPETITION FORMAT – HOW TO PLAY
Two Players form a team and shall be taken as shown on the Competition Timesheet. Failure to
play as the nominated team shall result in disqualification.
On the scorecard, each player’s Stroke score and number of Stableford points is entered for each
hole under the specific player’s column (A and B). The two players’ points are totalled for each hole
and written in the RESULT column. This is the “Aggregate Stableford Points” for that hole. The
players’ points are totalled for each nine holes and for the eighteen holes.
The team having the highest number of points is the winner.
4.
PRIZES
Voucher Prizes will be awarded to the winner and placegetters (number of placegetters determined
by the number of players in the field).
Nearest The Pin, Pro-Pin and “Ball Rundown” prizes shall be as determined by the Match
Committee.
5.
SOLO PLAYERS / SWING PLAYERS
It is preferable to establish partners in this event. The starter has the authority to move players into
groups to avoid having solo players. However, if a player is in a group of three and does not have a
partner, the solo player shall play as a team with the lower handicapped player (the “swing player”)
of the intact pair.
Failure to follow the above procedure will result in disqualification. 2-ball groups are not allowed.
The swing player shall only be eligible for one prize (voucher, trophy or ball-rundown) unless he/
she pays a second
competition fee.
