Recruit a good group and nominate a team captain and away you go!! Or call us and we will help you get a team together. You may want to check with your school/workplace – perhaps they’ll sponsor your team. The registration fee is $30 per team member, ($150 for the team), and each team pledges to raise a minimum of $1,000 in donations ($200 per person). The Association’s goal is to recruit 30 teams to raise $40,000. Challenge other businesses to compete against your organization. Teams that pay their registration by April 24th are eligible for an early-bird prize to be drawn April 28th Fundraising is a team effort. We encourage you to raise more than the minimum amount – it makes you eligible for great prizes! Official tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more (complete name and address of recipient is needed and Email Address). Teams meet at Moncton Sports Dome on May 27th to have fun, cheer on your teammates and celebrate your hard work. The event itself is our thanks to you for your great fundraising work! -2- Team Captain Package - FUN CHALLENGE 2017 ________________________________________________________________________ THE EVENT SCHEDULE The Fun Challenge “Day at the Dome” has something for everyone – just have FUN taking part in events like GIANT Games, paint ball and more. The day starts at 9:00 a.m. with registration and refreshments. Following a morning of fun events, the Aprés Celebrations begin with lunch, entertainment, awards and prizes! A detailed schedule will be provided as we get closer to event day. TEAM CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Your team is expected to pledge $1,000, or $200 per team member. As Team Captain you should oversee the fundraising, but it should remain a group effort. Your team may soon find that they can raise even more and we encourage you to do so. Money should be collected and turned in periodically, with all funds in by May 23rd. Note: Having the funds collected in on TIME make the preparation of the prizes to be awarded much easier for our volunteers. PLEASE make an effort to do this. In order for the Association to have a complete listing of all participants in the Fun Challenge, we request that the Team Registration Form be completed as thoroughly as possible. Forms can be found on-line on our website: As Team Captain, you are also expected to: Recruit team members and work with them to develop a fun team name; Act as liaison between your team and event organizers; Attend all Team Captain rallies; (to be announced) Encourage and monitor fundraising activities of team; Distribute, follow up and collect Pledge Sheets; Ensure team members sign event waver at the Dome on Event Day. Turn in pledge sheets and money to the Association office by the deadline as indicated above. Have FUN!! -3- Team Captain Package - FUN CHALLENGE 2017 ________________________________________________________________________ TEAM MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES As a member of your Fun Challenge team, you are expected to: Pay a registration of $30; Attend team rallies; Raise a minimum of $200 in donations; Submit all donations to team captain prior to May 23rd Sign a waiver; Participate in events the day of the challenge; and Have FUN!!! REGISTRATION FEE Each team member is required to pay a $30 registration fee, which provides them with: Team Kit Pass to Moncton Sports Dome for the day of the event. Free refreshments Participation in the Après Celebration, with lots of food, drink, entertainment, awards, and prizes. PRIZES Various prizes will be awarded to: Top team fundraisers; Top individual fundraisers; and Event winners. Also, any team member who raises their minimum of $200 will be eligible for prize draws. SPECIAL EVENT WAIVER For insurance purposes, each team member must provide their name, sign a release form with a witness to the signature, and date it. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! It is through opportunities such as these that we are reminded of why it is such a great community. WHERE THE MONEY GOES All proceeds from the FUN Challenge will go directly toward the programs and services of Inclusion Advocacy SENB. The Association is a charitable organization dedicated to protecting the rights and promoting the interests of people who have intellectual disabilities.
