These are alloted to him beginning with the hardest handicap rated holes (see men’s handicap rating in blue) until all 2 strokes are used. Notice the “+” sign on holes 1 and 5. On hole #1 Cooper’s bogey ties Bower’s par because he has a stroke on that hole. They each win a half point. On hole #4 Bower’s 4 beats Cooper’s 5 and he wins the point. On hole #5 they both par, but Cooper is getting a stroke so he wins the point.
