Read 2 Timothy 1:1-5 3. What is the tone/feel of these opening verses? 4. Have a quick look at Ephesians 1:1-2 and Galatians 1:1-5. How are these letter different? 5. What can we learn about Paul & Timothy’s relationship here? a. What does Acts 16:1-5 add to our understanding of Paul & Timothy’s relationship? 6. How does Paul express his wholehearted thankfulness for Timothy? a. What kind of impact do you imagine this kind of encouragement would have made in Timothy’s life, why? Thinking About It 7. Imagine yourself in Paul’s shoes for a moment. You’re in prison awaiting your execution because of your faith. How do you think you’d be doing in these circumstances? 8.
