OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES
Tournament Format: All teams entered are 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18U teams, which
Are registered ASA for Tournament or League Play 2010.
Game Rules:
All games will be governed by the official 2010 ASA rules
with special tournament rules added…
Time limit: One hour & thirty minutes = 90 minutes.
Complete the inning. If tied then remains a tie. One pt each
Win=2pts. Loss=0pts Tie = 1pt. Total points after all
games.
Seeding will be based on: overall record, head to head, run
differential (runs scored minus runs allowed), if still tied
then coin flip.
Open rosters…just make sure all players are listed on the
lineup card turned into umpire/scorekeeper at the start of
the game. One Extra hitter allowed. Courtesy runner
allowed once per inning.
** Run Rule: 15 runs after 3 innings, 12 runs after 4 innings,
8 runs after 5 innings. Includes playoff games.
Lineups & flip of the coin to determine home team . 15 min.
prior to start of game by scorekeeper.
Ties may occur in pool play (Sat. only) Sunday play must
have a winner.
***Playoff time limit is 90 minutes (finish the inning/no new
inning will start after time expires). If teams are tied at this
point, then the international tie-breaker will be utilized
with the last player in the batting order from the previous
inning placed as a runner at 2B at the start of the inning
until a winner is determined.
Decision of the Director is final.

Alden E. Oliver Sports Park of Hayward
258 Eden Park Place, Hayward, 94545
Driving from 880 North, exit Industrial Blvd. and go West to Hesperian Blvd. Left on
Hesperian and travel approximately ¼ mile to Sports Park entrance on the right.
Driving from 880 South, exit on Whipple Ave. to the stop light, turn left under the
freeway & right on Whipple down to Hesperian (by Kaiser Hosp.) turn right 2 stop lights
and turn left to the Sports Park.
From Highway 92 and the San Mateo Bridge, exit Hesperian Blvd. and go South
approximately 1.5 miles to Sports Park entrance on the right
Larry Standley Softball Field

From 880 North or South, exit Tennyson Road East, Left on Patrick Avenue, Field will
be on the right after you pass the “STOP” sign. Library, Community Center & parking lot
for the field.
From Highway 92 and the San Mateo Bridge, exit Hesperian Blvd. and go South, Left on
Tennyson Road, and Left on Patrick Avenue.

From 880 North or South, exit Tennyson Road West from the freeway. After you exit the
freeway continue down Tennyson Road until you cross Hesperian Blvd. (McDonalds on
the corner & Kaiser Hospital) the park is located on your right hand side. Plenty of
parking.
