Jaromir Jagr ► ► ► Born 15.2.1972 in Kladno He is a Czech ice hockey right winger who plays for Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. Jágr formerly played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, and New York Rangers, serving as captain of the Penguins and the Rangers. Career ► ► ► ► ► ► Jágr began skating at the age of three, and he immediately showed exceptional abilities. At his 18 he was drafted by Pittsburgh Penguins, where he won 2 Stanley Cups. After 10 seasons he moved to Washington Capitals and then to New York Rangers. In 2008 he moved to Russia to play for Avangard Omsk. He also played many international games. In 1998 he won gold medal in ice hockey in winter olympics. He also won 2 world championships with czech team. He wears jersey with number 68, as a memory to his grandfather who died during Soviet occupation in 1968.
