JOIN MEN OF LEAGUE FOR NARRABRI BOWLS DAY
Local rugby league teams, fans and players past and present are being invited to join the Men
of League Foundation for a bowls day on Saturday 20 August at Narrabri Bowling Club.
Organised by the Men of League Foundation North West Committee, the day is a chance for
everyone to get together and have a fun day on the greens whilst helping to raise important
funds for the Men of League Foundation and its work with men, women and children of the rugby
league community.
Men of League Foundation’s New South Wales State Manager, Stuart Raper, says that the day
is sure to be a success for the Committee and encourages everyone in the Narrabri region who
shares their love of rugby league to come along and participate.
“This should be a wonderful day of bowls and friendship in Narrabri. Our bowls days are fun and
a great opportunity for everyone to catch up off the footy field and enjoy a few ends of social
bowls,” said Stuart.
“Everyone is invited to wear their favourite rugby league team colours for the day. I’m sure there
will be lots of NRL and local team colours. Entry is just $10 per person and includes a BBQ
lunch.
“Funds raised from the afternoon go to helping the Men of League Foundation to care for those
from within the rugby league community who may have fallen on hard times and need some
assistance. We help people with a range of services from visits to those who may be feeling
socially isolated to household improvements and financial support.
“We hope to see lots of people come along to our day. If you can’t join us on Saturday 20 August
at Narrabri Bowling Club but would like to support us, we’d love for you to join the Foundation.
Members of the rugby league community can join at www.menofleague.com,” Stuart concluded.
